NEWS RELEASE

RAINBOW COLORED PRIVATE JET FLIES SPECIAL KIDS

A private jet has been painted in bright rainbow colors to salute Make-A-Wish who grants wishes to seriously ill children. The Lear Jet model 35 aircraft is named the “Dream Chaser” and it is taking some children from Make-A-Wish on a flight over their town. The one-of-a-kind jet will visit five cities in the western United States over a five day period flying the local children from each city on the following schedule each day:

Monday January 20, 2014 10am Denver, CO Centennial Airport Monday January 20, 2014 1pm Colorado Springs, CO Colorado Springs Airport Tuesday January 21, 2014 10am Albuquerque, NM Albuquerque Airport Wednesday January 22, 2014 11am Santa Ana, CA Orange County Airport Thursday January 23, 2014 10am Salt Lake City, UT SLC International Airport

The children will get an opportunity to sit in the airplane cockpit and talk to the pilots before their flight and they will each receive photo and T-shirt featuring the rainbow jet to commemorate their day. At the completion of their flight they will sign their name on the side of the airplane. The flights provide these Make-A-Wish kids a rare chance to take to the skies in the 500 mile per hour jet which normally rents for over $2,500.00 per hour. Approximately 6 to 12 children will be flown in each city.

The Lear Jet has been donated by International Jet Aviation, an aircraft charter company based in Denver, Colorado. They originated the idea of a special paint scheme on one of their airplanes to salute and recognize Make-A-Wish and to fly some of these special kids on a magical flight. The airplane will remain in this color scheme for about ten days after which the bright colors will be removed.

“Many of our employees volunteered their own time to make this project possible,” said Lynn Krogh, CEO of International Jet Aviation. “It gives us all a chance to give back something to the community and it is rewarding to bring something special to the lives of the Make-A-Wish children.”
